Halloween to present

The kids had a good halloween. They went trick-or-treating with our good friends, Devin and Lexi.

Video clips

Colton peeking over the edge and chewing on his chair (more teeth coming in.)

Jackson in his "Bam-Bam" shirt. Whenever he wears that shirt he says, "I Bam-Bam!!!"
Trey taking a breather at his game.

Colton watching Trey's game and smiling for the camera!

Trey is playing soccer this fall and although I've been unable to catch a truly glorious moment on video, here is something to watch. He really enjoys it and is getting better each week- scoring 6 goals and 5 goals the last two games.

This is Colton's use for his bouncy seat now- pretty innovative, huh?

It's been awhile!

I know I haven't blogged in a long time, but it has been a crazy summer. My brother, David, passed away at the end of August after his fourth heart attack in 3 1/2 years. Fortunately all of my siblings made it to Michigan for the funeral, but my parents are still in India serving a mission for the Mormon church and could not make it. We miss him so much already and were glad that we had just seen David two weeks before he passed on.

Colton sure is growing fast. He can crawl everywhere now, has his first tooth and sits up. He has waved to people a few times and the jury is still out, but we think he may be saying "Dada" and knowing what it means.

I believe that Colton looks like a redhead (he still doesn't have much hair) which means we have a blond, brunette, and a redhead! Those genes are weird things, huh? We may adopt an Asian baby just to have all the possibilities! Just kidding.
Jackson was playing dress-up with his cousins in Michigan and looked so cute as a pirate! He didn't want to take the eye patch off.

Trey is playing soccer this year and seems to enjoy himself even though his team is not real sure of their purpose on the field.

Trey and Jackson definitely have the love/hate relationship like lots of brothers. They are each others favorite playmate and favorite punching bag as well. They are both attending pre-school 2 days per week at a Catholic church and seem to love it.

I don't ever want to be a single mom!

Erik was gone for SIX days this week on his annual guys' golf trip (when did this become a week-long event?) and so I was solo with the boys for the week. It was actually a little better than I expected, just Jackson is the rascal of the bunch. He has been transitioning to a "Big Boy Bed" which means flopping out of his crib onto his head and opening his door with child-proof handle in about ten seconds flat. Needless to say, I'm ready for Erik to be back if only so I can get a little more sleep!
Jackson looks so sweet, but don't be deceived! He is a RASCAL!

Colton is growing so fast and is cuter and cuter these days. He loves to hold anyone's hand and that can usually keep him happy for awhile.

Trey has been a great helper this week, as usual. He is a good-natured little guy.

I scheduled visits from friends and my brother, Steven, throughout the week so that I had adult conversation and a distraction for the kids. Here Steven is rocking Colton to sleep after he'd been screaming in my arms for awhile! Dosdalls, are you amazed?

Trey turns four

A big smile from Colton!!!

We took the kids to the Waco Zoo on Trey's birthday. It was really nice and they had tons of fun!

Trey got to wear a crown at school for his birthday!

We had a "Mater" pinata over at Guido's house on Saturday where we celebrated Trey, Danny, and Sal's birthdays.

We just bought bunk beds this week in the hopes that Jackson and Trey will be ready to share a room soon and we can get Colton out of ours! Our awesome friends bought Trey all the "Cars" gear for the beds. It looks great and the kids love it!

Growing Boys!

Caught some cute Colton smiles this morning. We were outside (the weather is GORGEOUS this time of year here.) He is growing fast- about 15 pounds now!

The three boys: Jackson, Colton, Trey. Jackson is still really into Colton but doesn't quite know his own strength and will sometimes smother. Trey is still very helpful and patient with Colton.

Jackson would rather be outside than anywhere. His answer to my "It's time to come in now, Jackson!" was him lying down on the deck refusing to move!

Jackson got a new swing and loves it but tends to fall asleep in it as you can see.

What a Month!

Well, February started out great with a visit from my sister, Sharon, and her daughter, Savannah. Since my mom is away in India on a mission for the next year, she could not come down to help out after Colton was born. Sharon and Savannah graciously flew down from Michigan and stayed for 5 days. It was wonderful to see them! Trey and Jackson adored them as well.

On Valentine's Day, Erik's Mom flew in from Florida. Things started out great, but turned ugly quickly (as most of you know) with the beginning of Erik's scary infection.

If you didn't get the story, I will sum it up in as little detail as makes sense. Sunday evening, Erik had a bump the size of a golf ball on his elbow that was very painful. I told him to quit being a baby and go back to bed. When he was in such severe pain and had a fever of 103.5, he went to the ER. They diagnosed bursitis and sent him home on antibiotics. Within a few hours, the swelling was the circumference of a frisbee on his arm with streaking toward his heart. He went back to the ER and they admitted him to start IV antibiotics. The swelling increased so that eventually his arm was double the size it normally should be, hence VERY painful.
They tried to aspirate (stick a needle into the elbow and draw out fluid) to aleviate the infection to no avail. The next day they operated on it, removing the bursa and making sure the joint itself was not infected. All of these things combined with the high powered antibiotics should have killed this infection, but it was quite defiant, which caused us a lot of worry and stress. Finally after five days, things appeared to be headed the right direction with his arm when his kidneys started to go into acute failure because of the antibiotics. Because of this, he got fluid in his lungs which led to pneumonia.
After a week in the hospital, he was sent home on oral antibiotics, mostly because we were ready to get the heck out of there. Fortunately, Erik's mom was here for several days while he was in the hospital and then my friends, Patti and Linda, watched our kids so I could be at the hospital throughout. My brother, Steven, was here every day for at least part if not the whole day to help. It was very stressful, especially with Colton being so little and me trying to breastfeed.
We really think now that Erik is mostly better. Everything is healing but not yet healed, but we think it should in the near future. Thank you to everyone who helped out with the kids and those of you who were praying for and thinking of us. I know it helped.

Here is a more recent picture of Colton- he is growing so fast!
Also- the three cutest boys in the land!!!

Trey loving Colton. He has been very helpful with him so far!

Jackson loves to pat his head and needs to do so about every five minutes. He will stop whatever he is doing, giggle and putz his way over to pat him.

Colton is already getting some chubby cheeks! So cute and incredibly kissable. (Sorry- can't seem to fix the redeye on these.)

Colton Jon Enderle is here! He weighed in at 8 lbs 10 ounces and 21 inches long, our biggest boy yet! He was born at 3:07 am after a quick labor and fairly easy delivery (thankfully!)
This is the first meeting of the three brothers. Trey is very excited and wants to include Colton in everything. Jackson has been very gentle and comes up to stroke his head often.
Our first family photo with all of us together (Colton is about 6 hours old here.)

Jackson loves to play in the cabinets so much that we've had to clear some out unless we want a mess on the floor 10 times a day.

I found Jackson like this with Erik's shoes on, unable to go anywhere.

This is me at 38 weeks along. I feel quite mammoth, but may not be as big as I was with Jackson. Who knows. I will be induced Monday the 19th if I haven't had Colton by then!
